University Bank has a long history of involvement in Ypsilanti. For almost 3 decades University Bank has helped Ypsilanti community groups with funding, grants, and volunteer work. we are dedicated to making banking easy and accessible for everyone in Ypsilanti. With the opening of our new branch in Downtown Ypsilanti, we are excited to continue our mission of supporting our community and helping you achieve your financial goals.

University Bank has a long history of involvement in Ypsilanti and is proud to have played a significant role in ending redlining in the community. We provided assistance in the form of low-down payment loans and mortgages to Ypsilanti residents who didn’t qualify under standard programs. Through our efforts, we put over $8,000,000 into the National Faith Homebuyers lending in Ypsilanti, covering over 100 homes.

We are committed to making a positive impact on the community by fostering child literacy in Ypsilanti. Through partnerships with local community groups and non-profits, we have established after-school and weekend child literacy programs. Our goal is to provide educational opportunities that empower children and promote a love for reading.

As part of our commitment to supporting homeownership in the community, University Bank in collaboration with our Mortgage division, University Lending Group, is offering a $10,000 grant to eligible homebuyers in Ypsilanti. We believe in making homeownership more accessible and helping individuals and families achieve their dreams of owning a home.
